PET is my favourite from 13 steps. Very clever and very political. It really sums up the relationship between the "herd" (or "all the cows" as Dave Grohl calls them) and the goverment.

From mer de noms I think Judith, it's about Marnards mom you know, she died recently :(

Oh Hi everyone. I just joined TRIBE

No it's named after Maynard's mom, but its about a lot more, most probably conflict or renouncement of faith.
Very sad about her death, but mer de noms was released 2 years before it happened.

Rose, Pet, thinking of you, the nurse who loved me (actually i don't like the album version but last night i saw it live in sf and they expanded that little song)

I liked it better live also...... It just sounded "complete". (so to speak). Because the album version just freaked me out.

I love the noose...such a great song. And pet is great too. Then Judith, Orestes and 3 Libras. Overall I just love APC :)

now that there is a new album to consider i would say Fiddle and Drum is one fo the best songs they have done (out of theirs and the covers) the harmonics in it are amazing... and i think it is the only song on eMOTIVe worth listening to...

I'd have to say that my favorite songs are "Weak and Powerless" and "3 Libras." Those songs are so powerful, but every song they sing is so good!

I like the cover they did of "Lets have a war", but out of their own music I would have to say "Weak and Powerless" FUcken Wicked Song!!!

      Judith, Blue are great songs.

But recently it's been all about "The outsider" and especially "Pet."
Hearing maynard whisper "go back to sleep..." is just about as creepy as it gets. (Not that creepy is any standard measure of coolness.)

Just gimme the heavy riffin' shit anyday.

gravity is my favorite off of 13th step... but i can't choose from Mer de Noms. The entire album is like a story to me and I have a hard time trying to separate them or choose favorites. Every time I try to choose a favorite one, I end up changing my mind every minute or so... oh well *smiles*.

I don't know why but I think my favorite is The Nurse Who Loved Me. I know some would say that's a copout cause it's a cover but I think it's better than the Failure version.

It is so hard to have one favorite song. All of them.....mostly though Judith and 3 Libras. Imagine was awesome, granted its not apc's song, but its awesome. the nurse......some people say it is scary....I think its very creative. Maynard is a sexy man and anytime i hear his voice.....ooh yeah....so basically anythng he sings is my favorite. speaking of maynard.......the movie that we was in recently...sleeping dogs lie...awesome. its only 1/2 hour long, but he has a great small part in it. check it out. its great! ok bye

I think the question should be are there any songs I do *not* like? =)

    But my list of favorites:

    10. The Nurse Who Loved Me
    9. Pet
    8. Rose
    7. 3 Libras
    6. Blue
    5. Passive
    4. The Outsider
    3. Magdalena
    2. Judith
    1. Orestes

Magdalena and Nurse have special significance in that they relate to two women I have loved.

I'm amazed that nobody's mentioned "Counting Bodies Like Sheep..." from eMOTIVe. I know it's a remix of "Pet" but wow, I like eeet!

My favorite song as of right now (I'll take heat for this ) is their cover (sacralig) of Devo's Freedom Of Choice. The way Maynard sings it you can tell this is a song he fell in love with years ago and probably helped influence him to become a singer in the first place.

I'd have to say that the stranger is by far my favorite song, just on the way it begins and the message that it carries.

Orestes, Weak & Powerless, The Nurse Who Loved Me, my very favorite is 3 Libras, though. To this day it still has an association to someone who I cared deeply about who didn't reciprocate....

to pick a favorite song is like walking into ben and jerrys and trying to figure out what kind you want.... it is almost impossible.... but I would have to say 13th step.
